چکیده
The objective of this study was to analyze the effect cement thickness on strain and stresses resulting from polymerization resin using photoelasticity Finite Element Analysis (FEA). For study, twenty upper first premolars with inlay cavity preparation were constructed photoelastic restored composite inlay. samples divided into two groups (n = 10) according film material. Group 1, 100 ?m; for 2, 400 ?m. After cement, analysis finite element (FEA) performed. In analysis, 2 showed higher presence second-order fringe even after 24 h. formation order fringes not observed, FEA greatest cusp deflection tensile stress occurred in (0.00026 mm 0.305 MPa, respectively) due shrinkage lingual compared 1 (0.000107 0.210 respectively). It can be concluded that influences deflection, greater layer, deformations tooth structure occur.

Effect of ceramic thickness and composite bases on stress distribution of inlays--a finite element analysis.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cavity depth, ceramic thickness, and resin bases with different elastic modulus on von Mises stress patterns of ceramic inlays. Tridimensional geometric models were developed with SolidWorks image software. The differences between the models were: depth of pulpal wall, ceramic thickness, and presence of composite bases with different thic...
متن کاملFinite element study regarding the influence of the cement mantle thickness on the stress distribution in a cemented hip joint
The disrupted function of the hip joint can be restored by means of total hip arthroplasty (i.e. reconstructive surgery of the joint) THA. This is a widely used medical strategy with high succes rates, world wide [1,2]. Among the failure scenarios of THA, aseptic loosening represents the main reason for revision of cemented hip implants [3]. Studies have shown that the two most frequent ways fo...
متن کاملPhotoelastic evaluation of the effect of composite formulation on polymerization shrinkage stress.
We compared polymerization stress in two commercial composites and three experimental composites made using camphorquinone (CQ) and/or phenylpropanedione (PPD) as photoinitiators. The internal surfaces of photoelastic resin discs with cylindrical cavities were roughened and treated with adhesive. Composites were divided into five groups: two commercial composites (Filtek Silorane and Filtek Z25...
